O comandante da ala Robert Hereward "Battler" Britton é um ex-membro da Legião Estrangeira Francesa. Britton foi um dos principais pilotos da Royal Air Force durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, militando nos Supermarine Spitfires e Hawker Hurricanes.
